Rahul called upon J&K youth to join political mainstream

Launching the Youth Congress membership drive in the Kargil region, Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi called upon youth of Jammu and Kashmir to join the political mainstream, stressing that this was necessary for bringing development to the region.

Addressing a public rally in Kargil, he referred to the problem of connectivity in Kargil and other adjoining regions.

Rahul added that the government has taken several steps to improve road, air as well as mobile phone connectivity in the area.

He further said that a focussed development plan is needed for Kargil and other parts of the State.

Rahul Gandhi is on a two day long visit to Jammu and Kashmir.
